Hoopers Competition Simulator
Yesterday, both dogs took part in a hoopers competition simulator with 4 different courses (plus a joker). Amigo, who has barely trained hoopers but hates to be left out, was only eliminated once! He received 5 faults in both Hoopers and Barrelers, but got a clear round in All Sorts 1! So impressed with how quick he picks things up, especially since his clear run included a chute and he’s never even seen one before. He now has a cute little wooden trophy for his clear run too. Kairo ran Hoopers and Barrelers as un-judged training rounds, but they were so good that I was (kindly) peer pressured into doing a proper run. She was eliminated in All Sorts 1 as she missed the chute (never seen one before), and I sent her back to take it. My fault, but I didn’t want to allow a mistake on her first interaction with the chute. However, she completed All Sorts 2, the hardest course of the day, with just 5 faults! Of the 25 dogs entered, only 3 (including Kairo) completed this course without elimination! Who knew my dogs were so clever!

My brave little girl 🌸
Maggi May was very brave today with her operation, it went very well, didn’t bark at anyone, it’s left her very sad.
