Stop Jumping
Match The Hand Means:
Reading the QB’s throwing arm and putting that same hand in the throwing lane.
It lets a defensive lineman disrupt passes, bat balls down, and still finish the rush without leaving their feet.
🔹 Match The Hand Drill
• Start in your stance and explode out
• Win your move on the pop-up bag
• Get your eyes on the QB immediately
• Match the QB’s throwing hand and stay on your feet
• Close space and finish the sack with the hand up
