What books could you not write?

I have a daily "10 ideas" habit.

Today was "1354. 10 new books I could write from the content I've been writing about lately."

(Of course, since I haven't even finished the book I'm hoping to launch in a week, and since I'm stressing about it, I felt it was time to start looking forward to the new one.)

Here's what I did to make this 10 ideas list:

I went through my recent emails and asked myself, what book could this be used in.

I made a list of 10 ideas for new books. I also put the email underneath so I don't forget, in case I ever come back to these ideas.

Some new book ideas only had 1 email underneath them, some had 3 or 4. And that's just looking over just the past 20 emails or so that I've sent out.

I liked all my new book ideas.

It couldn't really be any other way, since the ideas are based on stuff that I found interesting enough recently to write an email about.

I don't know which if any of these books I will actually write. If you have any feedback for me, let me know.

In any case, here's the key point:

A book today can be just 10k-12k words. Maybe even less.

Depending on how long your emails are, that's about 20-30 emails.

For good measure, let's double it, because not every email might end up being good enough to become part of a book:

40-60 emails.

If you're writing daily, you can do that in two months.

A book, your book, in your own words... with cool ideas and illustrations you are happy to share and put out in the world... that you didn't have to write.

(I mean, somebody had to write those emails, but the book came for free.)

So here's my tip for you:

1. If you're writing daily emails already, sit down and do what I did. Look over your past 20 or so emails, and make a list of 10 ideas for new books that those emails could be a part of, which you won't have to write but will get for free.

2. If you're not already writing daily emails, start.
