Sourdough Discard Banana Bread
Last night I made Henry’s banana bread. We had a church gathering at our house and I needed something warm & comforting. We’ve had so many cool & rainy days. I was a banana short so subbed it with unsweetened applesauce. This is a BIG loaf! It took another 20 minutes to bake but was so worth the wait. My house smelled heavenly and caused such anticipation. I added both the chocolate chips (dark Ghirardelli) and pecans. It was amazing, especially warm with melting chocolate and butter. The loaf was gladly consumed within minutes and declared the best banana bread they had ever eaten!
