Starting a membership question

Has anyone started a membership - apart from Alexa, of course?

I'm really stalling on starting a membership, but I think it seems like the next step for trying to grow sustainable income and share my multiple products/trainings I've made. I've had a Facebook group before and found it really draining with very little interaction.

Please would you share your experience as I'm wondering if I'm just looking at this the wrong way?
