So me and my dad both got up at 4 am this morning to go to work
he left first. it was a normal Tuesday for us.
When I'm driving down the road through the trees I see what looks like 2 cars coming at me head on.
We live in the country so it's pitch black out, no light anywhere.
so I slow down and as I get closer I see that one car is on the shoulder and the other Is stopped on the road facing me.
I get curious and slow right down, and I see that it's my dads car.
I'm thinking who is he talking too? why is he beside this strange SUV. both cars have hazard lights on.
Then I look closer and I see the SUV has it's door open, and under the door......
Is some DUDE passed out under the door! and a lady looking lifeless in the driver seat....
I then see that my dad is on the phone, with the cops I presume.
So I pull over and get out to look. I didn't want to get too close because I was nervous of what could happen.
I was definitely on high alert in that moment.
I couldn't tell if they we're dead or drunk n passed out.
The car wasn't in an accident. It looked like they tried to change drivers then passed out at the same time.
so the paramedics Arrive in a few minutes and they go over and try to wake them up.
They shake the guy and he wakes up screaming and startled
Turns out they are a couple who decided to drink n drive together and then pass out on the road in the middle of the night.
They are Definitely in big trouble!
I left when the cops showed up. I stayed cuz the paramedics we're girls.
So that's how my day started. It got me thinking about how are choices really do matter.
This world is full of good and evil.
We get to choose what our contributions are.
So I want to encourage you guys to pay attention to where your energy goes.
What do you let into your soul and what do you give back to the world?
Our bad decisions are often the results of bad habits that have been ignored.
We must be thoughtful of who we choose to be and where we put our time and energy
Lest we drink n drive and pass out In the middle of the road at 4 am.
