As I’ve been listening to ’s latest podcast episodes and reflecting on the way I feel most lit up and natural delivering content I realized I want to lean more into audio. I’m not quite ready to set up a podcast (private or public) although I’m sure the time will come for that soon.
I had an idea that for the self study course version of my program I’m rolling out soon, rather than include ongoing support features like a community or calls, I can incorporate a Q&A Airtable form, curate the questions I get, then add audio responses to the top questions to the modules themselves. Similar to Mariah’s private podcast except just build the answers into the course curriculum itself for now - I kind of want this to be a less emphasized feature for now, so I’m not tied to a specific delivery timeline for that but just use it as a way to plug in gaps in the curriculum which is still relatively new. I also want to update my curriculum over time and deliver more of it via audio lessons vs videos, except when video is absolutely necessary for screen share demos etc.
I was wondering for people who do this already if there is a software/platform you use to host the audio files and put them in your course? Similar to Vimeo but for audios? Or do you just add straight mp4 files to your course materials? Forgive me if this question is basic I’m just trying to wrap my mind around the tech.
I’ve been delivering some custom feedback to my current clients via audio recordings I do on the Voice Memos app on my iPhone or iPad then uploading those mp4s to google drive and sending clients the shared G Drive link, but I’m not sure if google drive is the best long term solution to host mp4 files or if that will get out of hand with storage requirements and also I believe it allows clients to download a copy of the mp4 which may or may not be ideal for course materials.
