Can you think of a time when using a FB Group actually makes sense?
I heavily agree with so many folks here that building a community on FB is not a great place to expend our precious energy. But I'm wondering if it could be useful in limited applications. I'm planning on doing a 3-day live event to start to build towards my course. My goal is to launch by the end of the year but still want to pre-sell and validate it more.
With such a short window (maybe 2 weeks max), it seems like creating a community on Skool or somewhere else won't make a lot of sense unless it remains open. I'm open to that idea, but wondering if you see there being a use for FB groups when the timeframe is shorter and overcoming friction is a bit more of an issue. I'm also thinking of a Slack channel as an alternative, for people to workshop their pitches privately. In fact, I'm leaning that way, but also know that keeping a more permanent community there might be more of a headache.
