⛏️ 2 Upwork applications sent with loom videos
✅ both viewed by prospects but no contact received so far
From what I learnt by some freelancers crushing it on UpWork a 25-30% view rate is good.
So 6-7 out of every 10 UpWork proposals you send probably wont even get viewed. And when starting out your view rate will be even less than that.
What I have learnred on how to improve UpWork view rate:
1)Sending in a proposal as soon as possible after the gig is posted
2) Boosting your proposal with connects to be in the Top 4
3) Including a loom video and mentioning it in the first 100 characters of your cover letter
4) Other tips on profile pic, "online for messages" green light, $ Pricing, Job success score, Earnings,

Key takeaways
- calculating Minimum Hourly Rate - As a freelancer, you still trade time for money, but only client work generates income.
- Understanding billable hours - Only direct client work generates revenue, yet running a business requires significant non-billable time.
- seperating personal income from business income was also something I never really think about
