Just wanted to share it quickly.
I ran a Skool community from early days of Skool when it was not open for public. Helped one company raise over $10mil through community building. Wrote for Forbes on the same.
But it feels like I am not able to contribute to my potential.
I feel there are two types of people in service:
- Kings
- Kingmakers.
Kings play on the front. They are charming, fancy influence-worthy individuals who can lead the crowd towards a worthy goal.
And there are kingmakers. Those who know how things work. Their talent lies in discovering Kings and turning ordinary ideas into real dreams.
I remember the story of 2nd prime minister of India...
He once said, there are two types of stones in Taj Mahal...
The bright, white marblestones that everyone sees and admires.
And there are foundation stones... deep burried in the ground that no one remembers. But without those stones there is no Tajmahal.
I am finding joy lately in not being famous and helping people create great things instead. Not sure for how long I will admire it. I don't know if it is even a worthy goal to follow.
But as as the first step in this direction (because my heart tells me to do so), I am writing a book called "Community Building Secrets".
It will be available on Kindle. If you are building a community and you want to offer me initial feedback on it, please DM me. I will truly appreciate. If not, that is also fine. I truly appreciate you.
