What happened to invite via email address with permissions?

You used to be able to input an email address to be added into the community, and you got to select what content they were granted access to via a tick box selection pop up menu. What happened to this? Now i can only send an invite to an email address with no options. Not gonna lie, this upsets me a little bit. Makes more work for me now as i need to add their permission manually after they join, seems like a step back in features to me?
