To help stop dm spam, do this...
I believe some new features are coming soon to help with the direct message spamming, but in the meantime, you can do the following to help group creators and admins (apart from turning off chat).
This is all dependent on the message because it might be a genuine outreach attempt and if they are trained well say as an SDR, it's not all spam as such :) ...but it's the DM's with the promotion in the first message that are inappropriate (been getting a few about dropshipping).
  1. politely (if you are in a good mood) say not interested, maybe remind them it's against the rules
  2. block the user if you feel it is appropriate (I do this if it is a direct promotion in the first msge)
  3. take a screenshot of the message, and make sure the user's details are clear for the admin
  4. send the screenshot in a DM to the creator or ideally an admin (go to members, click admins)
Note: I am all for hustle, and even encourage cold email campaigns done professionally, but direct DM's here on Skool are problematic depending on the intent.
If you are going to send a DM to someone on Skool make it about connecting with a like-minded user, but first click Follow under their profile and send a professional message to say hi, just connecting.
My last point would be to try to limit the amount of free Skool groups you join, only join and engage with the groups you are going to be using, and want to connect with like-minded people.
thumbs up if this was useful 馃憤
...any thoughts, comment below and let's discuss.
cheers, Danny :)
