, I noticed that when having a notification, even if you have read the post/comment you have been tagged in, the notification does not go away. Only way to get the notification not to show anymore is to actually click on it and then mark it as read.

Suggestion : If a post/comment is read by a user who was tagged in the post/comment, the notification should go away once you have read the post/comment, even if you did not click on the notification itself to take you to the post/comment.

To give an example : You tagged me in a comment and I went onto the system straight to the comment (without using the notification dropdown). After I read the comment you tagged me in, the notification was still there. Personally, I would wanted the system to realize I have read the post/comment I was tagged in and then it should remove the notification automatically.

Few less clicks for us :)
