Better notification management?

I'm someone that responds to all my students posts and the notification area can become too crowded when all engagement is there even if It's not related to me.

Would be nice if I could:

A: Filter notifications by mentions of me in the notification section so I can respond to direct comments/questions first.

B: If I respond to a comment it removes from the notification area so that gets cleaned up and I don't have to manually mark things as read/unread.
