10 contributions to Skool Community
Discussion feature
Hey Skoolers hope you guys are good. We noticed the discussion feature was removed. This was pretty integral to our community, especially with things like offer audits, intros etc. Clients said it made them feel more involved with the community as they could read opinions of others relevant to the modules in question and feel less isolated when consuming content. I believe this should be something that is in our power to decide as leaders of our own communities. We should be empowered to decide whether or not we want this feature on, as each community has its own needs. In some instances for some communities, the feature is problematic, weird and non-intuitive. For others (in our case) the feature added a lot of value and kept our engagement and client conviction high. It should be up to us to decide. Hope this feedback helps fuel the decision to bring it back.

Yeah I just noticed today and was quite annoyed that the way my course functions is not in my control. Should at least have the option to keep that feature. I'm noticing more and more changes are being made when I already thought the platform was great. One of the benefits of Kajabi and other platforms is things only change when you want them to.
Better notification management?
I'm someone that responds to all my students posts and the notification area can become too crowded when all engagement is there even if It's not related to me. Would be nice if I could: A: Filter notifications by mentions of me in the notification section so I can respond to direct comments/questions first. B: If I respond to a comment it removes from the notification area so that gets cleaned up and I don't have to manually mark things as read/unread.

Removing members via profile
Currently when I want to remove a member from the the platform the only way to do this is to go to the members section and search through each tab for their name. This process is a bit slow. It would be nice if I could search their name it the search tab, click their profile and remove them. Maybe adding a button on their profile under the follow back and chat button to remove them from the group as an admin? A search and remove would be less cumbersome than tabbing through the members trying to find their name.

@Sid Sahasrabuddhe this helps, thanks :)
Ideas for customizing Skool user access
@Sid Sahasrabuddhe Posted this in Uplevel, but wanted to share here as a feature request. The day after I posted this, I sold a client on a 6 month membership to my program/community access/support, and lifetime access to videos, so it would be awesome if the below were implemented 🙏 After thinking about the Wetube announcementyesterday, reading through the comments and mostly understanding the direction things seem to be headed, it seems like the following would be helpful in orienting the Skool platform towards those goals: 1. Having the ability to remove the Community, Calendar, & Leaderboard tabs from a user's permissions. This would allow for someone to have access to the course material (for possible low ticket content-only access, or as continued access to Classroom but removal from the Community section after a set amount of time) for life, without adding to the overall community group numbers. Similar to Clickfunnels membership funnels. Also, if someone wanted full access it could be turned back on (an upgrade fee). Doing this would solve a lot of the growth problems. 2. Having the ability when adding a member, to set an automatic removal date (from Skool altogether, or only from the 3 above-mentioned sections), so that reminders wouldn't have to be set to remove members at certain times, based on what "full program access" timeframe was offered (3 months, 6 months, 1 year, etc)

I would like this too. Looking at Kajabi for downselling people that won't have access to community/coaching and just the course content.
Turn ON/OFF features?
Will there ever be an option to turn off community, classroom, leaderboards, calendar.. etc? I would love the option to be able to simple toggle these on and off — and for example just use the Skool platform for content and not have it be a community. Just as I'm able to have it be a community without having content. More context: I'm using Skool for my program. it's 4 months worth of coaching and support. After that, they pay monthly or are kicked out. However, I want them to continue to have access to the courses - just not the support/coaching... so I built another Skool just for content... but now I'm realizing I can't turn off the community aspect and I don't want it to turn into territory for other business coaches to just poach my past clients and spam the community. I'd rather it just be off and give students access to the content only.
