Fear doesn’t exist anywhere except in the mind.
This is a quote by Dale Carnegie. Fear is one of the biggest emotions that drives so many decisions- especially when we’re chronically ill.
“What if I do too much?”
“What if never heal?”
“What if there is mold in the new place?”
I encourage my clients to turn “what ifs” into “even if” statements. They look like this:
“Even if I do too much, I’ll learn better where my boundary is”
“Even if I never heal, I can enjoy the gift of today”
“Even if there is mold, I can gather tools that support my body”
These questions keep us stuck. Have you felt stuck before? How have you moved out of fear in the past and into freedom?
