Yesterday someone asked a question I haven't stopped thinking about.
"How do I get members to tell me what they need?"
As a teacher, I learned a long time ago that asking:
"What do you need?"
rarely gets the best answers.
Students often don't know.
Or they don't feel comfortable sharing.
Or they tell you what they think you want to hear.
I'm starting to wonder if community members are similar.
So I'd love your perspective.
How do you figure out what your members really need when they aren't telling you directly?
