When supporting others to win feels better than winning yourself!
Asya for #WinWednesday!!
This January I was asked on short notice to contribute a book chapter to a book about female leadership.
Yet this is just the beginning of this story.
I almost instantly knew: one of my members has such an outstanding story to share.
If at all possible, it would be amazing to have her also in this book.
Guess what. This powerhouse of a woman managed to write her chapter in time.
And if you ask me, she contributed one of the best chapters in the book.
Why was it so important to me that she gets seen for what she does?
Besides the fact that she is an amazing human?
Because she has such a wonderful mission:
Helping parents with kids who are seen as "challenged" discover the hidden geniuses they actually are.
She works with people on the spectrum and uses her superpower of connecting dots others cannot to teach ways not only to "deal" with those who are deemed different, but to allow them to use their gifts.
While she went back to university at age 44 to be recognized in science for what she knows to be true, I might have helped a little to make her known to a wider audience.
Because those stories need to be shared.
We need to see more of what is possible.
And the little wonders we can see every day if we are just looking out for them.
So let us celebrate Asya!
A proud author and amazing human!
