The number 6 shows up in ages like 36, 46, and 56.

And for whatever reason, those numbers always hit differently.

Thirty-six is closer to 40 than it is to 30.

Forty-six is closer to 50 than it is to 40.

And fifty-six is closer to 60 than it is to 50.

For the past few years, I’ve been closer to 50 than I was to 60.

But today?

Today I’m officially closer to 60 than I am to 50.

Yes, it’s my birthday. 🎂 🥳🥳

And birthdays have a way of stirring up reflection — especially about the things we meant to do “later.”

A lot of regret doesn’t come from bad choices.

It comes from postponing life while being responsible.
