Beans may not be the problem .. how they’re prepared and how often they’re eaten matters.
The more often you eat beans, the more your gut bacteria adapt. Enzymes increase. Tolerance goes up. That’s literally how the microbiome works.
BUT … here’s the part nobody talks about 👀
If you’re cooking acidic or long-simmered foods (like beans) in surfaces that leach , that can irritate the gut and make digestion worse.
So people blame the beans… when it’s actually the combo of an untrained microbiome plus reactive cookware.
Better prep. Better cooking surface. More consistency.
Your gut learns. Beans stop being the villain.
