An underrated about page strategy:
Center your copy around your testimonials.
Most people do testimonails at the end, or as a small part of the copy. But what about making the whole thing about the success stories you have through the eyes of your members?
I've been seeing a lot of people doing that with great success. And I plan to do something similar in my group.
What does it mean?
  • It's basically show don't tell.
  • Instead of talking about the value that you provide you let your members do that for you. In text format it's good, but in video format it's better.
  • Let your members tell you what your value is instead of yourself. And build your copy around the results they got from you. Ideally they will talk about the problem they had and how much you helped them with it. And you don't need much more than that.
On Roast & Promote you can get and give feedback on your about page copy and see if what you're building clicks! Stop being in the dark and find out if what you have works with the opinion of several active skoolers!
