About Page Tips
👋 Hey friends!
I’ve seen a bunch of folks asking for About Page feedback today, so I wanted to put together a simple, helpful guide you can use to create (or audit) your About Page so that it actually converts whether your Skool community is free, paid, or just getting started.
So, Your About Page is the first thing people read before deciding to join, so you can think of it as your sales page, the place where you clearly share who it’s for, what people get, and why it’s worth joining. So let’s make yours amazing.
🔥 1. Start With a Clear Hook
Your hook is your first impression. It should instantly tell readers:
  • What your community is about
  • Who it’s for
  • Why they should care
Think: clear promise + specific audience
Example:“Where new entrepreneurs learn simple systems to finally grow without overwhelm.”
🔥 2. Describe the Problem They’re Facing
People join communities to solve problems.Write 2–3 sentences that show you get them.
Example:“Most people try to grow alone and end up stuck, overwhelmed, or confused about what to do next.”
When readers feel understood, they trust you more.
🔥 3. Show Them Exactly What They Get
This is where clarity = conversions.
List the real value they’ll receive, such as:
  • Weekly live calls
  • Step-by-step lessons in the Classroom
  • Templates, checklists, and tools
  • A supportive community that actually replies
  • Accountability, feedback, and encouragement
Simple. Scannable. Benefits-driven.
🔥 4. Give Them a Reason to Join Now
You don’t need fake scarcity — just genuine reasons.
Examples:
  • New lessons drop soon
  • Founding member pricing
  • Live event happening this week
  • Community momentum is growing
A “why now” removes hesitation.
🔥 5. End With a Warm, Inviting Call to Action
Examples:
  • “If you’re ready to grow with people on the same journey, join us.”
  • “Click Join and start with the first lesson.”
  • “Come be part of a community that lifts you up.”
Direct. Friendly. Human.
✨ Quick Extras That Help
Not required, but powerful:
  • A clean cover image
  • A short welcome video (30–60 seconds)
  • Short paragraphs + bold highlights
  • Benefits > features
💛 Final Checklist
Your About Page should answer:
✓ Who is this for?
✓ What problem do they have?
✓ What will they get?
✓ Why should they join now?
✓ Is it clear, friendly, and easy to read?
Need a Prompt to fast track the process with AI, let me know and I'll send it your way
