7 Steps to Start and Gain Momentum
If you’re new here, don’t overthink it. The people who win follow simple actions consistently, not complex strategies. This is based on what actually works, not theory. You can do all of this in a few minutes.
  1. Engage first* Don’t just scroll. Like posts and comments you find valuable. It takes seconds, supports others, and helps the platform show you better content.
  2. Complete your profile* Make your space feel like yours. If you’re unsure what your community or direction should be about, start with one of these: something you enjoy, something you’ve solved, or something you already do.
  3. Join at least one other community* Learn by being a user. See what works, what doesn’t, and how others run things.
  4. Reach out to people* Message around 20 people with something simple:“I’m starting something around X, do you know anyone who’d be interested?” You’re not looking for hundreds. Your first few active people matter most.
  5. Share it publicly* Post on your socials that you’re building something. Even a simple message is enough to start.
  6. Test the system* Try setting up something paid, even for $1. It helps you understand how everything works and builds confidence.
  7. Keep it simple* This is just building a space for people with a shared interest. Think of it like inviting people into something you care about.
Start small, stay consistent, and adjust as you go.
