Change of ChatGPT domain and impact on browser extensions?
I just tried to install and use Speak to ChatGPT extension for Chrome:
It didn't work. Then I found this very recent answer by the author to user complaints about the extension not working:
"Stefan Ristic: Hi OpenAI just changed the domain from http://chat.openai.com/chat to http://chat.openai.com. i made a quick fix please be patient the update is coming soon than you can test it and fix rating."
Indeed, the URL I get when opening ChatGPT in Chrome is https://chat.openai.com/. In Edge, it seems to be https://chat.openai.com/ as well. In Firefox on the other hand it's still https://chat.openai.com/chat.
Now I'm super confused. I've noticed a lot of other Firefox extensions are not working either. Could this be the reason? Do all extensions have to be adjusted?
Appreciate any helpful information on this! Thanks guys!
