Hey fellow GPT enthusiasts! I just wanted to share an experience with the incredible learning capabilities of GPT-4 I had today. Picture this: I was stuck on a problem in COMSOL Multiphysics, which, to make matters worse, involved features that GPT-4 couldn't possibly know about, thanks to its 2021 knowledge cutoff.
So I crafted a simple prompt, letting GPT-4 know that I'd be feeding it sections of the most up-to-date COMSOL documentation on the features that are essential to tackle the problem. And here's the kicker: I asked GPT-4 to reply with "Enough information for given problem" when it had gobbled up enough knowledge to actually help me out.
And it worked like a charm! Just three sections of the COMSOL documentation were all it took for GPT-4 to tell me that it had enough. It then went on to serve me with a very informed and intelligent step-by-step solution to my initial problem.
Here's the entire prompt I used, with the specific references to COMSOL removed. Please use and share if you like:
"There is new information regarding the problem at hand that you will need to properly solve it. I´ll now feed you a bunch of information split over several input prompts. Please just memorize and understand the information, but do not respond to my inputs except saying "Information received. Please continue." if everything is alright. Also, please respond with "Enough information for given problem!" once you have received enough information to solve my initially posed problem.
Are you ready?"
P.S. If you have a huge amount of information to input, there are good automizations available to split large texts into multiple prompts.
