Here's something I want to run by y'all...
So, I was watching a video from one of the many "GHL Gurus" I follow as they were discussing the build of a chatbot inside of GHL. They said the way they do it is NOT the Live Chat, but the one that uses the form. I thought using that method meant that AI would not respond, which is why I didn't use it for this bot. However, in this video training, they were saying that's not the case! According to them, there's a way to have AI respond and still use the form.
The reason this is an issue is because the downside of the way I have this bot currently set up, NO CONTACT INFORMATION IS COLLECTED. So, as a marketer, I'm probably screwing up with this bot! Right? Rule #1 is "the money is in the list." How am I adding to the list with this bot?
With the above in mind, my thought is that I need to go back to the drawing board with this bot and rebuild it with the same knowledge, but in a way that collects customer data first.
Thankfully, my client is really being patient during this "testing phase," so they're fully prepared for me to do all the testing I want on this! Thank God for that!

So, what do YOU think? Am I thinking about this correctly, or am I way off base? I am an experienced (if disorganized) marketer (more than I care to admit). However, being new to both AI and GHL as well as being injured, I don't trust myself enough to feel confident that I'm processing this correctly. Am I? Do YOU think I need to change this so that a data collection form shows up when you first open the widget? Why or why not?
