Ai in Industry Timelines to Obsolescence

Couldn’t find an “AI in Industry” discussion, so I selected General Discussion.

Anyone have any speculations about how quickly multi-modal LLMs like ChatGPT4 might make obsolete the jobs of foreign language teachers in countries like South Korea that already prioritise language learning to aggressively compete with Singapore? I can image a future where learners either stay home with VR goggles or attend a facility with SoTA VR and environmental comforts to learn from a teacher who has infinite time, patience and never forgets anything about you, building learner profiles as the students interact and tailoring it’s response accordingly.
