A trip down memory lane... Is 2016 really back?
Did you all see that random wave of “bring back 2016” posts on IG last week? It made me pause for a second and think about where I was back then… and man, things have changed a lot. You don’t need to jump into every trend, but it is interesting to look back and realize how much can shift in ten years, and how much you can build in the next ten. If going back to 2016 feels too far (honestly, same), try something simpler. Think about where you were around this time last year. What were you working on? What were you excited about? The decisions you were avoiding. The wins you had. The projects you were sure would take off. For me, I was sitting on a leadership decision I knew I had to make but kept pushing off. At the same time, I was getting ready to launch the LCA program with Adam and Reno… and I lost a lot of the momentum I had built in 2024 because my focus was split. Not saying it was a bad decision, just one I wish I had evaluated with clearer eyes instead of getting pulled into shiny-object mode. But enough about me. I’m curious about you. When you look back at where you were in early 2025… What do you notice now? Any mistakes you can see more clearly in hindsight? Anything you would’ve approached differently? Would love to hear from you. P.S. This was me in 2016. Don't tell my wife I looked that skinny.

When Growth Starts Feeling Heavy
I’ve been talking to a few coaches lately and something keeps coming up. A lot of solopreneurs feel overwhelmed… not because they’re doing things wrong, but because they’re doing all the things at once. Sales, calls, client work, content, follow-ups, admin — it all lives in your head, all the time. From the outside it looks like everything’s fine, but inside it feels like you’re constantly trying to remember something you forgot. And that feeling of “if I disappear for a week, everything breaks”? Yeah, that one comes up a lot. Most of the time it’s not a motivation issue. It’s just that without a simple structure, everything feels urgent and you end up reacting instead of actually leading your business. The crazy part is that when goals and priorities get cleaned up (even a little) things immediately feel lighter. Same work. Less pressure. Curious if any of this hits for you right now. What part of your business feels the heaviest at the moment?
Coaching doesn’t exist because people are incapable.
One last thought to wrap up the week. Coaching doesn’t exist because people are incapable. It exists because execution is lonely. If free information were enough, we’d all be walking around shredded, wealthy, and perfectly balanced. But execution usually falls apart when: - The plan isn’t clear - The order isn’t obvious - No one notices when you go quiet That’s where accountability actually matters. So I’m curious: Where do you think having the right kind of support would make the biggest difference for you this year? I’m not talking about more advice or content. Just support that helps you keep moving when motivation drops. Would love to hear your thoughts.
