Did you all see that random wave of “bring back 2016” posts on IG last week?
It made me pause for a second and think about where I was back then… and man, things have changed a lot.
You don’t need to jump into every trend, but it is interesting to look back and realize how much can shift in ten years, and how much you can build in the next ten.
If going back to 2016 feels too far (honestly, same), try something simpler. Think about where you were around this time last year.
What were you working on? What were you excited about?
The decisions you were avoiding.
The wins you had.
The projects you were sure would take off.
For me, I was sitting on a leadership decision I knew I had to make but kept pushing off. At the same time, I was getting ready to launch the LCA program with Adam and Reno… and I lost a lot of the momentum I had built in 2024 because my focus was split.
Not saying it was a bad decision, just one I wish I had evaluated with clearer eyes instead of getting pulled into shiny-object mode.
But enough about me. I’m curious about you.
When you look back at where you were in early 2025…
What do you notice now? Any mistakes you can see more clearly in hindsight?
Anything you would’ve approached differently?
Would love to hear from you.
P.S. This was me in 2016. Don't tell my wife I looked that skinny.
