Selling before building???

So I had a really good call the other day with someone I had talked to a couple of times.

I got a warm yes and immediately started to panic, because I was selling before I had anything built. So, I started building as soon as I got off the phone. I was worried that I needed to have something to show them. That was mostly a waste of time, maybe they will swing back at some point but I'm not holding my breath.

Is anyone else trying to sell before building? How are you going about it?
