Voice AI with Multiple Languages

I am building out a Voice AI receptionist on Vapi where the client wants it to switch to Mandarin if the client starts speaking Mandarin or requests to continue in Mandarin.

I am using the Eleven Labs multilingual v2 and the Assistant recognizes once someone starts speaking Mandarin, but it keeps repeating the same thing, over and over, no matter what is said to it - is there something else I need to do to get it to work like it does in english?
