Do you know how to glide nerves?
Our peripheral nervous system is the message delivery system from brain to muscle and back again. Most people focus on fixing muscles and joint mobility as a priority, but at best, we can improve those things 20% at any one time for a very short period of time. But, if you open and invigorate the correct nerve line, that feeds the muscle you want to perform better, and have a stronger feedback loop for retention - then you must look at nerve gliding. Stretching, foam rolling, mobility and alike - are like going for a walk with you eyes closed. It is ok, you might end up where you want to be the chances are very slim, and it is much more likely that you will get hurt or end up in the wrong place. Adding a nerve glide sequence is like going for a walk with your eyes open. Much better!! Take a look at this

The sensory system
If you want to have better movement control and less pain through a range of movement, it is totally worth spending a minute or 2 testing the sensory system first, to see if your brain is translating the information coming into it correctly. Most of the time, pain is a signal that something isn't right, or your brain is translating the information as a threat. No amount of stretching or running will switch that off. Only working with the system that is threatened will help

Applied Neurology is my favourite thing to learn about and teach. How your eyes can affect your movement range is incredible to me. Are there any specific things you want to learn about?
