The sensory system
If you want to have better movement control and less pain through a range of movement, it is totally worth spending a minute or 2 testing the sensory system first, to see if your brain is translating the information coming into it correctly.
Most of the time, pain is a signal that something isn't right, or your brain is translating the information as a threat.
No amount of stretching or running will switch that off.
Only working with the system that is threatened will help
