What’s Missing in Perfumery?
As I continue my journey in perfumery, I’m always thinking about different scent profiles. What hasn’t been explored enough, what deserves more attention, and what could be reimagined in a new way. So I’d love to hear from you all: What are some scents you wish were used more in fine fragrance?
Maybe you love the smell of rain on hot pavement and wish more fragrances captured that mineral, ozonic vibe. Maybe you think roasted sesame or fresh-baked bread would make an interesting gourmand. Or maybe there’s a particular wood, resin, or floral that you think gets overshadowed by more common notes.
