Decant Supplier Review - PerfUUm

Next Up: PerfUUm. Now, I’m not going to lie, I really like getting decants from PerfUUm. I’ve ordered several dozen from here; their website is simple and intuitive enough to use. Although not as much as DecantX, PerfUUm does have a sizable selection of fragrances (1500+). They have the most common fragrances across designers as well as a good number of niche and indie. Fragrances can be grouped by gender, brands, best-sellers and by sale/clearance. That last one’s really helpful to quickly see if there are any steals to be had! Available sizes are 2ml, 3ml, 5ml, 8ml, 10ml, 15ml and 30ml, making PerfUUm the decanter with the most size options. Another plus for those on a tight budget!

As of this review, prices for a 5ml of some common frags are: Naxos (25.25), Layton (20.00), Angel’s Share (34.50) BR540-EDP (34.75), Aventus (21.50) and Cedrat Boise (11.25). The sample I purchased for these reviews is Cedrat Boise - 5ml.

Pricing of representative sample frags as well as the average pricing across the samples was right in the middle of the whole group. Perks include an automatic points-accrual system that adds up to discounts on future orders. Another perk is, for a monthly fee, a club that automatically puts you at 20% less than listed prices. It gets better; this lower rate can also be discounted further with normal discount codes! Speaking of discount codes, PerfUUm discount codes ranging between 5 to a whopping 30 percent are easy to come by on the internet. Shipping options are the most plentiful at PerfUUm with as many as seven different ways! PerfUUm also works with SHOP, a free app that helps you securely sign in, helps track your packages, and rewards you in SHOP Cash for purchases made using the SHOP app. Perks on top of perks on top of coupons on top of discounts………!

After discounts and standard shipping, the total cost at PerfUUm ran me 12.83 USD which was below the average of 14.63 amongst the five decanters, ranking second overall. I ordered on Monday and received my package on the following Monday (NY to FL). Shipping packaging was a standard pliable envelope that always makes me worried about the contents. The decant is a standard 5ml glass vial whose cap was tightly wrapped with tape. A nicely printed label indicates the batch number, giving a bit more weight to the authenticity of the decant. The standard shipping was through USPS Ground Advantage which is now insured up to $100.

My experiences with PerfUUm have been excellent! I received emails when I make the order, when I earned points, when the order was shipped, when the order was delivered, and later, how was my order. Lots of emails, yes, but that means good communication (even if it’s a bit automated!) Shipping time made sense, considering it was coming in from the northern seaboard. Although my data was using a single decant test, I’ve personally had larger orders take a bit longer to get to me. PerfUUm at least notifies you upfront if they anticipate any shipping delays! Decant packaging was on par with most everyone else. Joe Average take: Good customer service, a variety of sizes and selections, several different ways to get your cost down, definitely a winner in my book! SCORE 7/10
