Aromatix X Carnal Desire
Day two of my Aromatix X fragrance reviews
Today in 9th spot - Aromatix X Carnal Desire
Inspired by Cuir Infrarouge by Maison Crivelli
From the very first spray, the opening immediately feels bright yet playful, with raspberry leading the charge. It brings a juicy, slightly tart sweetness that instantly grabs attention, while bergamot adds a fresh citrus sparkle that keeps the opening lively rather than overly sugary. Cinnamon quietly sits in the background, adding a subtle warm spice that hints at the deeper, more sensual character that’s about to unfold.
As the fragrance begins to develop, the heart introduces a soft, almost airy sweetness with cotton candy, giving the scent a light sugary texture that contrasts nicely with the richer base waiting underneath. Orris adds a powdery smoothness that gives the fragrance a slightly creamy elegance, while rose brings a gentle floral touch that rounds everything out and stops the sweetness from feeling too playful or juvenile. The heart is where the fragrance starts to feel more balanced — sweet, soft and slightly romantic, but still with a warm edge.
In the dry down the fragrance becomes darker and more sensual as leather begins to emerge, giving the scent a smooth, slightly smoky depth that changes the overall character. Oud adds a woody richness beneath this leather note, while cedar introduces a dry, slightly aromatic woodiness that keeps things structured. Patchouli adds an earthy backbone to the composition, and vanilla softly wraps everything together, providing a smooth sweetness that lingers on the skin and ties the whole scent together.
Performance is strong on me with around 8+ hours longevity and solid projection early on, leaving a sweet, slightly leathery trail that people will definitely notice.
Overall rating: 7.1/10
This scent also reminds me a bit of Azzaro Forever Wanted Elixir, especially with the raspberry note. This is basically a sweet but darker leaning fragrance — juicy raspberry and cotton candy sweetness up top, slowly transitioning into a deeper leather-oud base that gives it a sensual, slightly mysterious character. It’s the kind of scent that feels playful at first but becomes warmer and more seductive as it settles.
It’s in 9th spot for me because while it’s a nice fragrance and definitely unique with that sweet-to-leathery transition, I personally lean more towards fresher or brighter profiles.
