Step 1 — Note your top 5 symptoms (in the last 30 days):
Digestive + Gut
  • Bloating (especially after meals)
  • Gas, burping, reflux/heartburn
  • Constipation, diarrhea, or alternating
  • Undigested food in stool
  • Food reactions / “healthy foods” make me worse
  • Chronic bad breath / coated tongue
  • Frequent nausea or low appetite
  • Anal itching at night / unexplained GI “weirdness”
Metabolic + Blood Sugar
  • Energy crash 2–4 pm
  • Cravings (especially sugar/carbs at night)
  • “Hangry” / mood swings when meals are delayed
  • Belly fat or weight won’t budge despite effort
  • Can’t lose weight OR can’t gain weight easily
  • Waking at night (1–3 am) / restless sleep
  • Frequent urination / excessive thirst

Inflammation + Immune
  • Joint pain, stiffness, body aches
  • Headaches or migraines
  • Skin issues (eczema, acne, psoriasis, rashes)
  • Seasonal allergies / sinus congestion
  • Autoimmune diagnosis or autoimmune “patterns”
  • Swelling/puffiness, fluid retention
  • Anxiety, irritability, or low mood that feels “inflammatory”
  • Frequent infections or slow recovery
  • Histamine-type reactions (hives, flushing, itchy skin, “random” flares)
Step 2 — Score your lanes
Count how many you experienced in each section:
  • Gut score: ___
  • Metabolic score: ___
  • Inflammation score: ___
Your Primary Lane = highest score.Your Secondary Lane = second-highest score.
If it’s a tie:
  • If digestive symptoms are intense → choose Gut as primary.
  • If cravings/crashes/weight are dominant → choose Metabolic as primary.
  • If pain/skin/autoimmune patterns dominate → choose Inflammation as primary.
Step 3 — Choose your Food Tool (Paleo vs Keto vs Carnivore/Animal-based)
Use your Primary Lane + the “tells” below.
If your Primary Lane is GUT BREAKDOWN:
Start with Paleo Reset (gut-calm version) if you have:
  • Bloating, stool issues, reflux, food reactions, chronic GI symptoms
Consider a short therapeutic Carnivore/Animal-based trial (14–30 days) if:
  • You react to many foods (especially plants/fiber)
  • Autoimmune flares overlap with severe gut reactivity
  • You need maximum simplicity to calm symptoms
Avoid jumping straight into high-fiber, high-fermentable plans if your gut is inflamed.
If your Primary Lane is METABOLIC GRIDLOCK
Start with Protein-first Paleo if you have:
  • Cravings + crashes but you’re not ready for strict keto
  • You need structure without intensity
Choose Keto (clean keto) 30–60 days if you have:
  • Strong cravings, insulin resistance pattern, belly fat, PCOS tendencies
  • Brain fog after meals
  • You feel best with fewer carbs and steadier appetite
Choose Animal-based / meat-forward if:
  • You do best on simplicity and appetite control
  • You have gut sensitivity + metabolic issues together
If your Primary Lane is INFLAMMATORY FIRE
Start with Paleo Anti-inflammatory if:
  • Joint pain, skin issues, headaches, autoimmune patterns are prominent
Consider Carnivore/Animal-based (therapeutic window) if:
  • Autoimmune flare-ups are frequent/intense
  • You have multiple food triggers and need immune calm quickly
Consider Keto if:
  • Inflammation overlaps with metabolic symptoms (crashes, cravings, body comp resistance)
  • Neurologic symptoms improve with lower carbs

If you do nothing else: Pick your lane → choose a food tool → follow Fuel → Repair → Restore.
