Can assistants Create New Contacts

I know that our assistants can update contacts info, but can they create a new contact? I don't see it as a tool stack.

Here's the use case. Our assistant is for a Chiropractor, sometimes they get a lead and the lead would like to book a back to back appointment for them and their spouse, or family member, at which point a new contact needs to be made. I prompted the bot to collect the additional contact's info thinking it would gather the info only but when I tested it, it updated the original contact. Do I need to create a custom tool for the bot to create a contact? Is that possible?
