Best way to match an ID from user input to check a DB list?

I have a client that does mailers out for promotional events, they do a giveaway based on ID number they send out randomly in mailer.

They want the AI to collect the ID from the caller/user, then check the DB to verify the name associated with the ID before proceeding to set an appointment

Can I just upload a csv file to the knowledgebase for the Agent to reference?

Or will I need to create a tool and Buildship or similar to check the db and run required logic to sort data and confirm the name and ID match?
