MOVING MOUNTAINS — The Divine Calling For Us To Embody Divine Power, Not Just Love
The Divine Quality Most Christians Never Experience
For those who don’t know me, there is one particular aspect of the Divine experience that I never truly encountered during all my years in Evangelical Christianity.
I only discovered it after I was willing to step outside the mold of traditional Evangelical thinking. Once you step outside of it, you begin to see how tightly the Divine relationship is controlled by institution, vernacular, and tradition.
That Divine quality is power.
---
The Divine Qualities Of The Soul
In the yogic teachings, the Divine qualities mirror what the Bible teaches about the nature of God and the fruits of the Spirit. But they are often condensed into eight primary attributes:
Love, Light, Wisdom, Joy, Peace, Power, Calmness, And Sound.
Under each of these are many expressions.
For example:
Under love is forgiveness.
Under power is self-control and spiritual strength.
Under joy is laughter and enthusiasm.
My guru, Paramahansa Yogananda, taught me the value of embodying fortitude, divine will, and spiritual power through meditation.

The Missing Discipline In Modern Christianity
And honestly, this is something most modern Christianity simply does not teach.
Instead, what we often get is a kind of designer spirituality — Sunday talk therapy with maybe a 10-minute morning reading… otherwise largely devoid of disciplined spiritual practice.
You know I’m right lol.
But real transformation comes through concentration, meditation, and the integration of divine qualities into our awareness.
It happens when the heart and mind agree.
Belief in the mind.
Conviction in the heart.
When those two align, real change begins.

What Jesus Actually Taught About Faith
This is exactly what Jesus was pointing to.
In the Gospel of Matthew he says that if you believe and do not doubt, you can say to this mountain, “Move,” and it will move.
Truly, nothing will be impossible for you.
This same conviction and faith is what the great spiritual masters of history embodied.
For me, one of those teachers was Yogananda, because I had to go outside of Christianity to learn how to actually implement this divine quality of power.

The Struggle Of Being Human
Living in a human body is not easy.
There are emotions, impulses, fears, temptations, pressures — the entire whirlwind of the senses pulling us in every direction.
But what happens when we develop a real relationship with God in the heart?
What happens when the mind becomes focused and disciplined?
What happens when we finally get tired of compromising… tired of being pulled around by the ego — or what Christians call the sin nature?
What happens when we truly surrender?
When belief and faith are complete…
Power has free rein.
---
Power Is Available To You
Make no mistake — if you are feeling weak today, power is available to you.
You are not helpless.
Even scripture says the spirit that God gives comes with love, power, and self-discipline.
Not the watered-down talk-therapy Christianity we often see today.
But the kind of spiritual power that comes through conviction, surrender, a focused mind, and a heart aligned with God.
The refiner’s fire that produces spiritual strength exponentially.
And above all…
This power is hope.
Hope that you are not helpless to the forces around you.
Hope that the Divine presence within you — God within you — is stronger than any darkness outside you.
And the real question is this:
What if we actually believed that?
How would your life change?
