I made my debut as an author in 1991. Then a 34 years' break. And now I'm back, at the age of 80. I'm not a boomer, I am Methuselah. Why am I interested in writing fiction again? I have written text of facts for all my life. I'm no longer the breadwinner of a family. I live on my pension, and so does my wife too. I have hearing devices and I recently had cataract surgery. So, I'm still going strong, to cite Johnny Walker. AI is a great help for us all. I jumped into ChatGPT 3-4 years ago. Wow! This was what I had waited for since I made my M.A. final work at Helsinki university. My theme was connected with machine translation of language. Now lexems were disassembled in LLMs, but not to semasemes and semes as then, but to tokens. My ancient studies in the 1970s had been useful. LLMs were just a different way from academic research to handle with corpus. (BTW, academic science does not allow hallucinations.) If you read this far, you understand now what a winding path I have travelled to be here. Never stop thinking, writing, speaking and loving life as it's given to you for free!

Hi, I'm a newbie here, I am looking forward to being part of something that has the 'characteristics' of powerful piece of software that will enhance a writers ability to put their thoughts down in a cohesive manner. A little bit about me, I started writing SciFi/Romance/Space Opera in December 2019, when I finally sat my butt in the chair and verbally threw up what was in my head. lol I had to learn so much, and am still learning. Writing is my 5th career. I've retired from 4 others... Air Force, Ministry, Direct Sales, Designer Dog Clothing & Snack. My first novel, turned into my third one published. I am also the founder of Transcendent Authors ... They are a group of authors that write anthologies based on my directions, (currently 14 are working the first 2 of the 7 deadly sins, it will be out in November.) I have written in the first 8 anthologies and recently stepped to the position of management. Currently, I am the President of the White Mountains chapter of Arizona Professional Writers, we run a writing contest, writers conference and book festival (3rd year). And the incoming president for the State of Arizona - Arizona Professional Writers, - I've been married for 50 years come June, have 2 kids, 5 grands, and 4 great grands. My fun things to do is write (lol), bake, discover cool things at 'The Bin Store.' And I have blast playing with AI.

Hi everyone! I’m new here and easing my way back into writing - an old love set aside through motherhood, life, and years of academic and professional work. I have more ideas than time, but I’m finally focusing on a story that’s been quietly percolating for over twenty years - something rooted in hidden worlds, strange connections, and the thin places where science, myth, and the unseen begin to converge. I come from a background in environmental science, geography, and art, so a lot of how I think about story is rooted in place, patterns, small details people tend to overlook, and exploring connections people have with each other and their place in the universe. I’m here to write, learn, and see where this goes.

I'm an old guy who has chosen to be deeply mired in AI collaboration on long-form fictional prose. I began to work at writing in 1980 during grad school. Forty-five years later, I managed to publish my first novel. (I'd published mounds of technical nonfiction and courses; that's a different tale.) Since then, I'm up to (almost) 20 fictional stories 'in the wild.' The big change came from AI collaboration. In the last few months, new systems are popping up, based on coding IDEs, with project folders, memory systems, and more. Elements that were hard to integrate just six months ago are now seamlessly connected, and bespoke systems for every type of knowledge work are making their way into our lives. I look forward to participating in this community and testing and using WordCrafter as it refines and gains traction in the market.
