Show but disable or Hide completely for Membership Tier Access on SAAS App

I've created a membership system for an app that requires a subscription to get access to certain areas of the saas platform. I was wondering how some of you handle whether to show disabled access that requires a higher tier to access or just completely hiding it so that they never see what they're missing out on. I'm thinking of disabling access to it where it's grayed out with a lock icon, saying upgrade to access on hover.

What are your thoughts and what method would or do you currently use to get people to want to upgrade to a paid tier?
