Is Skype worth it ?

Hey, I'm thinking to buy Skype's monthly subscription to start cold calling people as I cannot afford GHL (my card doesn't gets accepted in the free trial), so the question is

Do you guys think Skype is worth it or is there any other better alternative ? Also, I got to know if someone marks your Skype number spam, now you have low chances of pick up.
