Here’s My Offering (Example):
What my mind forgets
my heart keeps archived somewhere deep within.
I’ve been witness to names fading, dates blurring,
and conversations losing their wording.
Yet somehow,
my heart remembers how something felt.
Remembers warmth.
Remembers ache attached to places, people, and things.
A song can spark a moment.
A scent can unlock a lost thought.
A familiar laugh can reopen rooms time close long ago.
Because memory is not always mental.
Sometimes it lives in the body.
In guarded reactions.
In soft spots nobody sees.
What the mind forgets the heart carries differently.
Not as punishment,
but as reminder,
some feelings were real enough
to leave fingerprints behind.
