I just wanted to take a moment and directly address the situation involving a member of our NEU community, and the posts she’s been sharing around social media and inside here as well, painting me and the team in a certain way. A few months back, I got a voice note from her, sharing how she was in love with me. It was quite unexpected, I was caught off guard and in all honestly.. I didn't know how to deal with this. Looking back, could I have handled it better? yes. I understand how this might have felt, and it was never my intention to cause any harm, this was new territory for me. I’m sharing this because I want to keep things transparent and ensure everybody has the full picture. I’m no stranger to conflict, and I'm happy to address these things in public. It feels important to cleanse the field and ensure a build up of incorrect narratives don't happen. This community and NEU is literally my life's work and as much as I want to be compassionate, the hammer must drop when the hammer must drop. This is also a good opportunity for us to lay out how to deal with situations like this in the future so we can all stay cool as a community and focus on the bigger picture. Like, you know, saving the world 🤷🏽‍♂: 1. I don’t want to stifle any of you from making future babies, so if you feel love for someone, then it’s your choice to express it. 2. ⁠However the person responds, don’t hold it against them. We all have different attraction templates and styles. 3. ⁠If the attraction isn’t reciprocated, please get the message and respectfully move on. Life is too short to get hung up on someone who doesn’t love you back (and let’s be honest, that probably means they weren’t as much of your type as you thought they were in the first place). On that note, I love you all. And… it doesn’t mean I want to make babies with all of you. I’ve got land to scout and stuff, so I might be married to the earth for a while. With love, Thor
