Do's and don't of LinkedIn
✅ 10 DOs on LinkedIn (If You Want Real Results) 1️⃣ Optimize Your Profile Fully Professional photo, keyword-rich headline, strong summary + clear CTA. Your profile = your sales page. 2️⃣ Post Consistently (2–5x/week) Tips, insights, stories, carousels, videos — stay visible, stay valuable. 3️⃣ Engage Actively Thoughtful comments > random likes. Comments grow your reach faster than posts. 4️⃣ Personalize Every Outreach Mention something from their profile. This alone boosts accept rates by 50%. 5️⃣ Use Native Content Carousels, polls, text posts, videos. LinkedIn boosts what keeps people on the platform. 6️⃣ Use Keywords + 3–5 Hashtags Help the algorithm understand who you are and who should see you. 7️⃣ Build Social Proof Recommendations. Endorsements. Case studies. People trust people others trust. 8️⃣ Turn On Creator Mode If you post consistently, this boosts discoverability. 9️⃣ Analyze What Works Check analytics — double down on what performs. 🔟 Network Strategically Use filters. Connect with your ICP. Relationships > random connections. ❌ 10 DON’Ts on LinkedIn (They’re Killing Your Growth) 1️⃣ Don’t Send Generic Messages “Hi, I’d like to add you to my network…” = deleted. 2️⃣ Don’t Only Post Self-Promo 80% value, 20% offer. Otherwise… people mute you. 3️⃣ Don’t Use Too Many External Links LinkedIn hates sending traffic away. 4️⃣ Don’t Ignore Mobile Optimization Most people read on mobile. Keep videos short, posts clean. 5️⃣ Don’t Leave Your Profile Incomplete Missing sections = missed opportunities. 6️⃣ Don’t Use 10+ Hashtags Looks spammy. 3–5 is enough. 7️⃣ Don’t Be Inconsistent No activity = no visibility. 8️⃣ Don’t Write Like Your Resume Talk like a human, not like a corporate PDF. 9️⃣ Don’t Forget to Follow Up Conversations build trust. Silence kills momentum. 🔟 Don’t Ever Buy Followers or Endorsements Fake = banned + zero credibility. If you want my personal checklist that helped my clients land meetings, jobs, and clients...
Do's and don't of LinkedIn
My LinkedIn Journey
Four years ago, I was stuck in the exact freelancing loop everyone warns you about. Sitting at my desk… Refreshing Upwork… Sending proposal after proposal… Competing with 200 people for a $20 job… And still getting rejected. I remember one night sending 17 proposals back-to-back — Not a single reply. I wasn’t bad at my work. I was just invisible in a platform flooded with thousands of people doing the same thing. Lowball offers. Race-to-the-bottom pricing. Clients are treating you like a vending machine. That’s when I decided: “I’m done chasing clients.” I quit Upwork. I quit Fiverr. And I bet everything on one platform: LinkedIn. Not because it was easy — but because it felt right. And slowly… everything started to change. Here’s exactly what I did differently this time: 1. I optimised my LinkedIn profile like a client magnet Not a resume. Not a job description. A sales page for my services. Clear headline. Keyword-rich summary. Client-focused case studies. A story people could trust. 2. I created content consistently Not random posts. But valuable, relatable, problem-solving content my clients actually needed. Tips. Stories. Lessons. Before/afters. Real experiences. 3. I engaged authentically Thoughtful comments. Human DMs. Real conversations — not scripts. I stopped “pitching.” I started “connecting.” The results? Fast-forward to today: ✔️ 250+ clients closed ✔️ 80% of them reached out to ME first ✔️ High-ticket deals without bidding ✔️ Zero competition ✔️ Zero proposal spam ✔️ Zero platform dependency Companies DM me saying: “Saw your post about outreach — can we book a call?” “Your content popped up today. Need your help ASAP.” LinkedIn became the exact opposite of freelancing platforms: I wasn’t one of hundreds. I was the only choice. Here’s the truth nobody tells you: Upwork & Fiverr aren’t “bad.” They’re just saturated. LinkedIn and Instagram aren’t just platforms — They’re personal branding engines. And personal branding is the new currency.
My LinkedIn Journey
I am LinkedIn expert and wanna share my story.
Hey everyone, I’m Usman Ahmed — and for the past 4 years, I’ve been on a mission to help people get noticed the right way. It all started when a few friends asked me to “fix their LinkedIn profiles.” One profile turned into five… Five turned into fifty… And before I knew it, I had worked with 250+ clients, optimizing their profiles and helping them land high-paying jobs and premium clients. Along the journey, I also mastered creating ATS-friendly resumes — because no one should lose an opportunity just because their CV couldn’t pass a software filter. Today, I help job seekers, freelancers, and business owners build a presence that speaks before they do. A presence that attracts opportunities instead of chasing them. So if you’re someone who wants a stronger LinkedIn identity, a powerful profile, or a resume that actually gets seen — feel free to reach out. I’d love to help you write your own success story.
