While running an errand yesterday, I stopped in at one of my favorite little vintage shops and picked up a few new (used) ties. I was looking for some colors I don't have yet to round out my collection, and among those colors is purple. My criteria is strict: silk material, no tears or snags, stains, nor obnoxious, overly novel patterns. I chose to wear my Jack Victor super 120s wool suit as the base for this tie, and also a burgundy odd vest. To maintain cohesion and suited formality, I chose not to add in too many other colors or patterns, as it can be a bit difficult to pair an odd vest with a suit. The outfit was finished with burgundy tassel loafers from Allen Edmonds, burgundy watch, blue pocket square, and camel colored wool overcoat.

You have to be crazy to be great. Literally. Greatness isn't normal. Normal people don't wake up obsessed. Normal people don't chase dreams that look impossible. Normal people certainly don't make any attempt at making those dreams reality. Normal people aren't inventing entirely new ideas and trying to assemble them into real life. Normal people don't bleed for a decade for a vision no one else can see. That crap is crazy. They call you crazy because you are. Society in general is incapable of comprehending the standard greatness requires. So yeah ... You better be crazy. Crazy enough to dream massive. Crazy enough to give anything to make them real. Crazy enough to keep going when you'd rather die than endure another day. Crazy enough to turn your life into proof that greatness exists. So yeah ... I'm crazy. I got some new things from OTAA as part of my collaboration with them. SO I have put a couple of them into this WFH outfit, though I did have an early 0700 meeting with at the office.
