What can make you fall in love with a fragrance?
Me first, my preferences vary greatly. In other words, my standards in choosing a 10/10 scent aren't too rigid. I love sophisticated and luxurious scents such as Roja Amber Aoud with its combination of rose and oud, but I also love simple fruity, floral, and sweet scents such as Disco Inferno from Maison Martin. However, I still expect sophistication and maturity in winter fragrances, while I prefer them to be energetic, youthful, and simple for summer ones.

@Frank Barnett sometimes I also surprised because of a scent that I didn't expect to be that good 😂😂😂 For example, Encre Noire is that kind of fragrance. I'm not impressed by its notes on Fragrantica, I was like: "Huh, this thing looks dark and the notes are related to woody, mossy, moist smell." But when I first smelled it, I surprised because of its unique scent (very niche scent I can say), and it also brings a special feeling to me

@Eduardo Figueroa Yes I agree that our emotions have a huge impact on how we use and feel about our fragrance. Sometimes when I have a bad mood, some dark woody, oudy, mossy scents (that I do not usually wear) fit my feelings and make my day, while even my to-go fragrances cannot make me feel pleasent.
What was your first fragrance?
I'm curious, now that I'm starting out on this journey into fragrances, what was your first fragrance? Why did you choose it? And do you still use it? (I'd like to know more about how you chose it so I can see how to choose mine, thanks for the replies btw)

@Víctor Mendoza an extremely masculine and classic scent!

Versatile, masculine, and modern. I would say this is a scent that I can use in most occasions. Clean and modern enough for office wear, sweet and masculine enough for dates. While the opening is quite harsh with the spiciness of ginger, the dry down is amazing with sage and the hint of cedar and tonka beans, which are clean and masculine. Moreover, it performs pretty well on my skin, staying for nearly 8 hours, and projects within arm length for the first 4 hours.

@The Rain Society a really safe blind buy and pleasent scent that do not offense people. Maybe just a little cons with people overusing it.
Creed Aventus - real or fake?
Hi guys, I am in Europe and just received a 100 ml bottle of Creed Aventus from online discounter Notino.pl for $278. Apparently they’re present in many European countries. I am wondering if I got the real thing. Batch number is F003857 and I can’t find it on websites like checkfresh.com - says it is invalid data. I sent a message to Creed and awaiting response but perhaps someone here is able to help verify? I am attaching pictures below.

Whats your 10/10 fragrance?
Ok, I searched the posts and hadn't seen one of these for quite some time, so I apologize if I missed one. I'd like to hear what our current 10/10 fragrances are. I know our noses change over time, and we are always making new discoveries, so let's hear it. What are your holy grails?
