At 55 I realized my entire life had been learning to cope with something I didn’t realize I even had
I was 55 and apparently the last one in my circle to know that I had ADHD. No one could believe that I didn’t see it myself until then, and when I did start going down the rabbit hole of discovery, I felt like I was being punked on a daily basis because everything I was learning was exactly me right down to the internal lies I had been telling myself all of my life. Things like procrastinating because I excel under pressure and living life to the extremes with not much in between. It all started to make sense. I wish I had understood my wiring 30 years ago, and now that I do, I’m excited to see where it can really take me.

I totally get it and still have the occasional “what if” moment myself, but at the end of the day all of our experiences good or bad have made us who we are today and if you like the person looking back at you in the mirror then you must embrace all of those moments as part of your creation and growth. As the cliche goes, today is the first day of the rest of your life, so let’s take it all in and move forward like a superhero that’s finally learning how to use our superpowers 🙌

I get you Vesna and I’m sure others here do as well… We can brilliantly wear our “masks” in public and seemingly hold down life with everything being under control, and then when we’re alone we completely crash. That lie is “I’m just an introverted extrovert” or in my case… “I talk to people all day for work so when I get home I just want silence” which may in fact be the end result on the surface, but as you already know, it can be a painful and sometimes very lonely way to live with a much deeper root cause. I’m hopeful that this workshop will help with additional clarity and I feel like we’re in the right place with other people that can truly understand… You’re definitely not alone and may have just found your tribe 🎉

Day 1 Done! Biggest insight: that I need a vision of the future to be able to create it and I am capable of doing it! My open loop is: HELP! I did the 2 simplest tasks today the rest are too complicated! I’m sure something will come up by tomorrow! One word for how I feel right now: excited to see where this takes me!

I’m right there with you Danielle… I’ve always believed in the concept of “what you think about you bring about” and I’m convinced now more than ever that I can manifest things into my life because I have, both good and bad. It’s all about the signals that we send out, so it stands to reason that if we send unclear signals out to the universe that we will receive unclear results in return. I’ve always been great at solving what was in front of me in the moment but struggled with the vision and clarity of what I wanted in the big picture, so those have been my life results. Let’s truly become the architects of our future’s by painting that picture of what our best lives look like and then hyper focus our superpower on manifesting it into reality. You’ve totally got this!
How old were you when…
I’m curious how old you were when you were diagnosed. I was in my 50s.
