AD practice: fictional personal trainer
Target: Women 25-40 who want to look and feel better but are frustrated with their results or their current trainer. They train for health and aesthetics, not athletic performance, and they want to enjoy the process. “I wont take you to your limits. That’s an overplayed, empty promise used to sell programs. During your fitness journey, you’ll be bombarded with tips on programming and diet, info thats often contradicting. Theres no fixed path to results, its more like an island you have to swim to. Multiple styles and ways to get there. Other trainers are too generic, don't ask what feels best, don’t ask what exercise you'd rather do, just give orders. Some don’t even see their clients capable of enjoying training. I listen to you before making the program and during it, making changes according to how your body responds. I keep it fresh with different exercises and training styles, all based on your lifestyle and goals. You’ll find that the best tips are not on a reel or tiktok, but come from your bodys experiences with training. So no, I wont take you to your limits, I’ll help you find what works best for you, give you the tools you need. And when thats done, I wont need to take you to your limits, you’ll get there yourself. Start loving fitness”

@Matt Miralles Hello, Matt. I think it's great to have a visual sense as a copywriter.

@Shafaq Kazmi Hi! Sorry for the late reply. So far I've tried DMing brands I like, emailing local businesses, and doing in person outreach to places I'm a regular at. I've gotten ghosted quite a bit and a couple of 'we like it but not looking for anything right now.' Is that a volume problem or an approach problem? Thanks
Targeting dentists with bad FB ads
Hey guys...I've been using the meta ads library to find bad ads for pesonal brands dentists and then reach out to them and point out something in their ads that might be costing them patients eyeballs...the thing is ...they are open for more info and education about why their ads aren't getting as much attention.. but then when they understand what is broken I kinda get ghosted afterwards....can anyone here give me some feedback...is it because I didn't make an offer or overexplained everything? And if someone is working with dentists rn...i would appreciate any advices about the niche

@Owen M I lead my offers with a piece of work i think they could use. Like "here's this rewrite, if you like it i could also do your landing page", is this a good direction?

@Owen M It hurts to hear, just like hearing "you don't have the makings of a varsity athlete" 😆 Thanks, I will change my approach then.
Another ad practice. i feel like i am stuck, no matter how much i practice i am not getting any better. i've realized i write with same pattern in all ads. Is it okay or do i need to change ?
Audience: 30+ men/women facing bloating and gut issues. Wants to have apple cider vinegar but don't like the taste Problem aware: yes Solution aware: no HOOK: i had to give up my favouriite food when i turned 30 Ever since I entered my 30s, it's not the same. I noticed a significant change in my gut. I used to go out every weekend, eat and drink whatever I wanted. But now I can't even go out and not pay for it the next day. I was able to eat everything and anything in my 20s, but as soon as i entered in my 30s, BAM! It changed. I am 32 now and I can't live the rest of my life bloated. So I researched it on the internet and I found out you’ve to maintain the normal microbiome in your gut. As you age your normal microbiome(flora) changes which leads to gut issues. Microbes are the healthy bacteria in the gut that aid in digestion and synthesize essential vitamins. I looked online and asked people my age, how they dealt with it? Everyone had different opinions. Some said probiotics, some said to try digestive enzymes, others said to take more fiber, ayurvedic churna, magnesium, zinc and what not. I tried a few things but I messed up, especially the probiotics; they killed my stomach. 😑 And I realised I shouldn't listen to others; I should listen to my body, everyone's body reacts differently to everything. One day I was sitting and thinking about this and I remembered my mother used to take apple cider vinegar in water for her bloating. I tried apple cider vinegar and took it for 30 days. And guess what, the bloating was almost gone. But one thing I can't stand is its taste. It tastes like kombucha, and makes me want to puke. I tried it with different things, I added honey to it to mask the taste. I mixed apple or cranberry juice in apple cider vinegar and water. but 😵‍💫 the taste of vinegar is so strong. I was so done with its taste that's when the internet did its magic. You know how we think or search for anything and the next second it pops up on your screen.

I like it. It gets personal and builds trust with the story. However maybe you could make that part about change in gut from 20s to 30s shorter, same with the taste part. This way, you can spend more lines explaining the advantadges of the product? Or its good results, how she can now eat and drink without worry, etc. Or go on more about the benefits of ingredients, it reads a bit like a label. How exactly did they help her? Also the CTA could be more specific, like "get your gut health back". Just minute details, good ad.
Stop asking about niche, ask yourself this first
I see lot of people asking about what niche they should pick. See, copywriting is all about understanding your customers. If you dont do your research, you have lost the customer before they put anything into checkout basket. But doing research for something you have no idea about is overwhelming. So many options, opinions and you feel paralyzed. Especially if you are newbie copywriter! The simple solution is to focus on something you already understand and build on top of that. Oh you are skincare junkie who knows all the new hot ingredients and brands and loves to try new products? Write copy for skincare companies. You love going to gym and genuinely care about what you eat? Focus on either gym (service) or products (protein powder, supplements, gloves for lifting, etc) and write copy for that. Do you have your own pet? Write for pet niche. Pick whatever is appealing: landing pages, emails, meta ads, blog posts... This will give you: - benefit of skipping the "basic" research and you can dive right into writing - deeper understanding of potential customer personas - you genuinely care about the topic so it comes more easy to you - doing research prior to writing copy is more fun Don´t ask "what niche i should pick" but "what do I know about more than average person?" This is cheatcode to producing more copy faster which means you improve faster. Choose the topic you would research willingly at 10pm after work when you know you should be waking up early. Like this post and I will send you link to profitable ecom niches (not affiliated!) so you can get inspired and start writing today.
